Aww...that was cute. It's not cheesy and overdone like other parental RoyEd Father's Day fics, in which things get WAY too emotional. It's just the right interaction for their relationship. Absolutely perfect. As a HUGE fan of Parental RoyEd I salute you. Wonderful job!

I like the way he said it sort of indirectly. The referance to his own sort of "fatherly figure" was nice, too. Well done. Roy seemed pretty mellow and sarcastic compared to jaded and angry Edward, haha. Nicely put! :D

It's quite nice, but strangely, I'm not getting the angst feel here, even though you listed that as one of your genres. xD; But I love it all the same, because Roy/Ed paternal fluff is desperately needed in this fandom. I support all aspects of the Roy/Ed ship, really... A father-son relationship, a romantic relationship, or just plain friendship. (And, of course, who doesn't love the rivalry between them?)

Yes yes and yes. A Father figure. that is defanetly where the relashion ships stands. Roy is kinda like those wise guys dads. Kinda reminds me of my Dad when he's in one of his freindlyer moods. Maybe with a bit of energy to burn. Finally, some one who stands on the same view point. I give your story a 10!

I always thought Roy was like a father figure to Edward and Alphonse, along with Riza being more of a mother figure since their mother passed away. I liked the points you made about how Roy found a father figure that wasn't his real father. I'm like that as well with a person that I met that I have became very close to, but I actually call him 'Father.' Anyway, very well done!
