Your writing really does blow me away. The more that I read of yours, the more impressed I get. I was getting so misty, I could hardly see the page, and so choked up, it was difficult to swallow. I only held it in, because I was sitting next to someone (hint,hint) and I felt silly getting all emotional. You captured their emotions perfectly, and the father's and Charlie's phone message are a couple of the many parts that got my tear glands working overtime. It was so real, and raw the way you put it into words. Awesome. Keep up the terrific work!

This fic made me sad, but it was encouraging too, because we know that Don and Charlie and Alan can move on with their lives, and grow closer to each other as a family. Anyway, enough mushy comments on my part... The point is that it was very, very good, and I really enjoyed it!
