 QUEENJJ123ABCRESPECTBABY 2007-12-18 . chapter 1wow... how interesting... kinda sad, tho... |
 sulie 2007-12-18 . chapter 1Gah...
loved it though :D ambiguous ending. but hey it was good. xD |
Black-Rose23 2007-11-19 . chapter 1I think this was wonderful, and I love how it's left open to interpretation. |
Kay Major 2006-08-27 . chapter 1Ehh, you mixed up the terms a bit. When Sauske, Neji,or Naruto refer to "the bible", they should be refering to the Tanach, which could also be called the Old Testament.
-"Naruto, shalom aleichem.”
I take it that this conferirms Neji as a Jew. If so, then I'd advise getting some of his sayings directly from a copy of a Tanach, because there are the same sayings, only worded differntly.
-Sabbaths every Sunday
Jews call the Sabbath Shabbat and it lasts from sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday.
If you aren't farmiliar with the term synagouge, the word temple is acceptabel
-Our Father in heaven,
-hallowed be your name,
-your kingdom come,
-your will be done
-on earth as it is in heaven.
-Give us today our daily bread.
-Forgive us our debts,
-as we also have forgiven our debtors.
-And lead us not into temptation,
-but deliver us from the evil one.
-For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, until infinity.
-Amen.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this sounds like the Lord's Prayer. There is no direct equivalant in Judaisim, but a comman prayer that says "I believe in God " is the Shima which goes:
Hear oh Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is one
Finally, Sauske would have a hard time masquerading as a Natzi becasuse most of the Jews in Europe spoke Yiddish, which is close to German, is a different languange and it seems highly unlikely that he would have a chance to learn german.
Ok, now for the good stuff. The idea of faith saving you is probably important in the Narutoverse, but more of a "Have faith in yourself and you will not fail" then a faith in any kind of heavenley deity. You two really know how to write and it shows. This looks like a lot of thought was put in it and you managed to make a "religous" fanfic that doesn't sound like propaganda.

CherryShadowZ 2006-08-15 . chapter 1What a wonderful story. I loved the way it parallels the Naruto story with real historical events. The amazing detail and the way you explained all the biblical refrences allowed me to understand the story despite the fact that I know nothing about the bible. I loved this original fic. |
who, me? 2006-06-25 . chapter 1 This is.. beautiful. You've put the right things on the right places.
I'm looking forward for your next fic.
..and btw, your writing style kinda' reminds me of my teacher's way of speaking. ^^ |
Reject From The Back Of The Bus 2006-06-17 . chapter 1This was beautiful. I feel like I learned something from this story...
Thank you. |
Riyoku-kun 2006-06-16 . chapter 1wow. this is so original, not to mention well written. i was into the story to the very last word, it also helps that i like to read about world war 2... |
Shitza 2006-06-12 . chapter 1Oh Dear, when I finally understood that it was about the jewish bible I thought you had made a mistake. Or perhaps that my little knowledge into Judaism was minimal.
Funny thing, three metrews from where I sit I have an old magazine from 1942, something my uncle found years ago.
Sad things... sniff |
 Phantomsnow 2006-06-11 . chapter 1so, good! so sad! |
Reficular 2006-06-11 . chapter 1Wow, that was beautifully written, very touching. There aren't many fanfiction writers, who have the guts to write about the horrific genocide of the Jews. I'm glad that it was you who had done it, instead of some grammar/spelling challenged person. |
dracontia 2006-06-11 . chapter 1Huh, that was a bit confusing for me, I got up to the part where Sasuke said he was a Jew and went, ok, orthadox jew, cool. Then I got to the references to the Bible and went 'huh?' and the part about Naruto tearing up Bible pages for airplanes and finally the cross in the synagogue. I was like, 'ok, so it's basically christianity being called Judaism' and then I read you A/N and went "oh..." So even though I havn't been to temple in a few years I still understand the the Jewish parts, just not the christian parts. so can I say I'm interested in finding out about them?
