I have read this story a long time ago.. This story still makes me fall in love all over again with Karen and Bill. I loved how they got together!

Elise was quite a matchmaker :) I didn't know you wrote so many stories...good thing I have a lot of time to read this summer. Its amazing how many readers and reviewers you have.

At first I was disappointed that Bill couldn't wait for dinner by the beach but you made the proposal scene work very well. If I could picture proposing to a girl it would probably be in a rooftop restaurant. But the hottub scene was great and it was fun picturing Karen and Bill in it. The scene with Chloe was hilarious and I was a bit afraid she might ruin things for Bill.

Please write more...I'm still waiting to find out what happens with Nikolai and Anya.

I still wonder why Collette would lie to Jack about the gas plant schematics when she had immunity and now she's serving 20 years in federal prison. Reading 24 fanfics made me realize that I do have a thing for sappy stories. This is only the second soft one I've read but I'm liking it a lot more than some of the action ones.

I was listening to the radio while reading the previous chapter and that song "I Wonder" by Kellie Pickler was played and it really went well with this story. Its an autobiographical song by Kellie about her mom who abandoned her as a girl and she was raised by her grandparents. All the emotions in it are similar to what Elise went through growing up without her mom. Kellie performed this song at the CMA Awards last year.

Maybe I'm liking this a lot more than I should...I mean I'm not gay and I shouldn't like aw moments like this...my one soft story was just for the heck of it but as I was writing it I found out I could like something different than just action.

Elise is probably my favorite fanfic character out of any fics I've read on this site or on the main 24 site and I love how she's being portrayed. I guess at age 12 they're both growing up but still kids. I could never write a character so young but I like all the interactions again with Elise, Bill, and Karen. The truth is I didn't really like Karen in season 5 since she was opposed to Bill most of the time and her hairstyle and outfit didn't make her seem as pretty as in Season 6. And in Season 6 she came across as one of those Hillaryesque liberals. But I like the Karen Hayes you've kinda created here and it was a good idea to include everything about her past and her 3 kids. Wow her kids are all such overachievers.

Nice scene where Bill tells Karen about his past. I like Elise's character a lot and all the scenes with her were well written. I could picture all of it happening. Its refreshing to read a story with 24 characters that is not violent or depressing.

So are you posting on the main 24 website too? This story reminds me of another one though in that one the CTU Tac team blazes its way through the ship to save Jack. That was entertaining but this was a lot more realistic with President Gardner going through diplomatic channels with China and that Cheng Zhi is just a rogue agent. Makes a lot more sense since or else the Chinese will always be after Jack, they can just kidnap him again if the Premier sanctioned it. Also great interactions between Bill and Karen. I can tell you're a major Bill fan. I'm very busy this week and next but I'll read the rest of this great story!

Wow this is among the best 24 fanfics ever and I read a lot. The emotional stuff and history is a nice change and you're a fantastic prose writer. The emotions were very deep, everything with Elise, Bill, Ava and Michelle. Great how you really went into Bill's past. I guess you wrote this story too early to have included in the Seattle part anything about how he approved Fayed's release haha. It was very intriguing reading about Bill's past in Germany and Russia. Moscow always gives me that mysterious, intriguing feel (despite the Cold War being over for almost 20 years...kinda like how images of Charleston always come from the pre CivilWar days. so I like the settings :)

I can't believe the coincidence with Ava being Collete! I always felt they could have done more with Collette's character. Seriously this makes me feel MUCH better about my one "softer" story, Because You're You, which is also based on a coincidence that seems very improbable in hindsight.

I really hope you'll continue this soon. I never read unfinished stories but this time I'm really tempted. The little glimpses I saw really drew me in.

My only tick is that though the story is unfinished, you've categorized it as 'complete'. Hopefully this'll be true soon.

okay,so obviously I started reading none Tony/Michelle fics and I have to tell you,I totally love it.I felt so sorry for Bill when he discovered that Collette is Ava(nice idea by the way).Having Bill so loving and caring is how I tend to imagine him.Great fic.
