A very brillant mix of both the american and japanize versions of the show. A lot of good plot, tons of drama. Just a huge amount of emotional gold. This was really good. Lotor came off as very messed up. Which is what he is, so hats off on handling how you wrote him. I also enjoyed how you wrote everyone else. Really very well done.

Like your explanation for why the robeasts and blazing sword aren’t used. I can’t even imagine how hard of a decision it was for Bandor to make in regards to rejoining the fight. I bet that surprised the hell out of Lotor. It’s a shame it got him killed but he may have indeed saved Arus and Pollux in the process. I just knew Keith was going to find out that Allura was missing the first time I saw the word ‘mausoleum’. At least he’s on his way to finding out the truth. What a way to end the chapter! I can’t wait to read the next installment! Your writing is incredible!

“The others, she knew, would be trying to rescue her of course but she wasn’t going to simply sit idly by waiting for it. No, she had to act.”—that’s Allura. Thank god she just doesn’t sit around like a stereotypical mindless princess in distress. I found this statement so very interesting: “She could tell the implication that she’d rather die than suffer his touch stung Lotor, and a bit of pity stabbed at her heart for saying something so cruel to someone, as apparently, even Lotor had feelings that could be wounded.” Great response: “You don’t mind my touch so much now, do you?” The Curse of the Blue Lion—I like that. I can definitely see how they might have felt differently, still just as worse, but differently, if Allura had died while fighting rather than something so stupid and they were so helpless. I can’t remember details about Romelle but what a plot to hatch at this point to keep Bandor at bay.

I couldn’t help but laugh at this: “They no doubt couldn’t believe their eyes, and at times he still couldn’t believe it himself. It actually worked! A plan was made and carried out to its success.” You have a point. Still, you can narrate what Keith is feeling without over doing it. I wonder if the others are feeling anywhere near as bad as he. The emotion and passion of Coran makes his response to her death believable. I just held my breath through the entire paragraph when Lotor was kissing her (I have this awful thing for him and, as a kid, I always wanted a love triangle with him, Allura, and Keith). I applaud Lotor for wanting her to love him of her own accord but I’d like to know why he thinks that she’ll love him after he destroys everything she loves. That’s just like him. Somehow Keith got out of having to say anything at all in public in regards to Allura.

I have resisted the urge to read Voltron fic because I have way too much to do already but, since I just finished watching the first season—an awesome Christmas present—I couldn’t resist. Most of what I remember from the cartoon is sketchy, so I don’t know all the details up to this episode, although I’ve recently seen it. So forgive anything stupid that I might say. Through this first chapter, I am totally entranced. I’m amazed at how you can spend so much time with Keith’s thoughts alone and none of it be superfluous. I like that Keith wished on the “star” that this hadn’t happened and yet, technically, it hasn’t. “Hard-to-detect transport”—I was totally thinking about that the other day, how they can keep landing there and none of their devices know it. Fantastic opening! I am so hooked that I’m reading the next chapter now!

I just read this one on another web site (I forget where it was now) and I just love it! It's very good and very well written. I can't wait for more. I hope for an update some day soon. :)

I'm entirely entranced in this. There is such an emotion to every character. Every detail is wonderful. I especially love the twisted sense of humor you have provided for Hagar.

I don't normally read "M" stories, and I hope this one doesn't get "dirty," but I just couldn't help reading a story that plays off "The Sleeping Princess" episode in a darker tone. If you keep writing this in the fashion you have been, I can't see this sounding any different than a romance novel. And, I would love to know where it goes and how it all plays out.

Great story so far, Purrsia. My favorite part (naturally) was the exchange between the Doomies. I also thought the emotion conveyed with Keith's scenes was very well done, and I liked the touch of Coran drowning his sorrows in the bottle. Normally I would think of a drunk Coran as OOC but you made it work and seem believable. Looking forward to more!
