I haven't seen the show, but I read this anyway -- call me a glutton for punishment! And even though I didn't understand all the specifics, I didn't have any trouble figuring out the generalities, and enjoyed them very much. Well written mysteries will always be a better read than stories that lay it all out, but are badly written.

The ending was sad, but hopeful.

good job. You know this scene had to happen somewhere, and this is an excellent rendering of it. Good adjectives, and dialogue-vs-internal thoughts. But I've always known you have an excellent command of language.
I really am gonna have to buy that DVD...
