First of all, I want to apologize for being so far behind. I honestly thought I had already reviewed this fic when I didn't! Sorry!

Next, this was a pretty good fic overall but felt a lot different than the previous one for some reason. That's not a bad thing and I, for one, really dug your focus on some of the tools that this version of Starfleet has. I guess my ex-military mindset was affecting me a bit, but I kept grinding my teeth at Montoya's naive outlook and her seeming insistence on buying that absurd line of bunk about soldiers being raving lunatics out to kill and kill and kill again, especially in regards to the Klingons.

Which leads me to the Klingons. Put simply, I ADORE what you've done with them. The "shaved Sasquatch with a human intellect" is fantastic and is light years beyond the idiot Klingons that proliferated during the 24th century and Enterprise. I can actually buy that these Klingons evolve into the ones that Kirk faced during TOS ...
