Aha! A little more hurt/comfort for these two. Again, I find myself all twitchy-itchy in my seat, trying to figure out where they are going, what they are doing, and why. And I can't, bc they don't know either. THey just do it, whatever IT is.

I like how you wrapped this up, with Mace just accepting the changes, and Quin not questioning, and both of them seeming to start healing--together.

This has been a very interesting journey with an unusual pair. I can't imagine anyone handling it any better. You are an amazing author. Thanks so much!

Mace and Quinlan are just twenty-seven kinds of pricklies to read, if that's a word? There's so much friction and tension, but all underneath this blanket of niceties, friendship, grief, and distance. I think I like reading this BECAUSE they make me edgy and shift about in my chair. It isn't nice and comfortable with them, but it IS intriguing.

I love all the understated pieces in this chapter, how so much is said without saying anything, how gestures can mean everything or nothing. And a big YES to Quin staying for him. And Mace, dear lord. The grief. You know, you've really tamed Mace for me, and I might even like him now. Look at what you've done!

Oh Monchy, this was so sad!! I love it! I feel so terrible for poor Mace; he's not an emotional sort of person, and being calm and stoic through Qui-Gon's funeral mut have just /killed/ him.

And I feel bad for Obi-wan as well, even though he's only given a side mention in this. I mean, at least Mace has somebody with whom he can momentarily forget his pain. Poor Obi-Wan has nothing but that big bed to curl up in all alone... *runs and grabs tissues*

I loved Quinlan's awkwardness at the end, not knowing exactly where he stands with Mace now. I mena, Mace is still carrying the torch for Qui-Gon, and I suppose Quinlan doesn't know if he was just a convenient diversion or not. Gah. *hugs both fo them* And I love how their relationship is just in little baby steps. The reserve that they both have when Quinlan climbs back into bed is wonderful -- they're not touching, not cuddling... just BEING there.

Very very nice update! *is happy*

Sorry that it took me so long to get to this one, Monchy!

I loved this chapter. As I said on LJ, I really like how you show the more vulnerable, human side of Mace Windu that we dont get very often in the books, films, or even fics. You make him that much more believeable as a person by adding this new layer to his personality.

Even though I am a shipper of Obi/Qui, I still wanted to smack Qui-Gon for being so terribly blind as to not see how upset Mace is over the relationship with Obi-Wan. But then the roles are so quickly reversed, and I want to smack Mace for being so bound up in his own pain that he can't see Quin's longing for him. Does that make sense? And by "smack" I of course mean "cuddle tightly and make everyhing all better". hahaha.

I love that Quinlan was drinking rum, I have to say. It just makes him that much more piratical. Jack Sparrow would definitely approve (10 DAYS TO GO! WOOT!)

Ok, off to read chapter 3! *claps* New Mnchy fic AND a nekkid Jude update on the same day? I must have saved up some wicked good karma!!

DAMN IT! FFN just ate my review!

Well, I dont know if this is going to work this time, so I'm just going to ay much hugs and love, because it was a very sweet little ficlet. ^^.

I really like your Mace Windu here. He's a lot more human and vulnerable than the bad MF that he is in the movies and many fics as well. I like this side of him, actually. It's a very sweet image. ^^. I think that my favourite part is when Quinlan kisses his wrist, and Mace reacts so strongly to the touch. *squees quietly*. That got my little romantic fangirl going. Haha

And yeah, MUCH better than the actual Theogony, which I had to read in Classics this year. That was just a list of huge names and no Jedi sweetness at all. ^^. So I much prefer this version. ^_^. *loves*
