Please update soon! I really enjoy this story and its prequel. They are both some of the best kingdom hearts fics I have read ever (and I've read a lot.) I understand you are probably busy, and have a lot of other things to work with, but don't just leave us hanging! It's really good.

Guess who finally beat KH2... :3

Great work, as expected! Like the first fic, this sequel is a fast-paced, intriguing adventure. The style is light and easy to read, allowing for a lot of action and other events, with still enough room for the characters' thoughts and feelings to make an impact on the mood of each scene. The descriptions are a very light spice on a tasty, amazing plot.

Interestingly, I feel much the same way about KH2 compared to KH1 as I do about this fic, I think because the change in atmosphere is so similar. In ATR, like KH1, the entire concept is novel, the situation is often bleak, and it really feels like the characters are on the brink of the end of existence. It has a dark level of suspense that's truly engaging.

In KH2, the setting changes: the danger is no longer quite so urgent, world exploration is no longer quite so new and fresh, none of the characters are quite as "in the dark" about each other and what's going on as before, and the Heartless--a rather frightening and compelling force in KH1--get watered down by some new guys who come out of seemingly nowhere.
And that's where this fic comes in, having to deal with Nobodies on top of almost nothing from the first fic REALLY getting resolved (although like Heartless!Ansem, it is satisfying to have Fallen bite the dust). I would say it's quite genius to have your fics imitate the tone of the games so well and be so innovative with the plot at the same time. I've started to consider ATR a more legit sequel to the first game than KH2, which makes this... KH2*plus* or something, haha.

Anyway, do I even have to say my favorite part? That time door stuff was BRILLIANT, and the Port Royal segments were pretty classy, too. Here are some lines that made me lol or "baww" along the way:

teehee! Imagining Zidane and Kairi getting into a sissyfight over Sora makes me squee like a dumb fangirl.

I can see it's been a little while since an update, but I hope you overcome the perils of your day-job to give us more soon! Will Kairi dig a hole for her and Yuna, or save the day? Will Riku get his quarry? Will Leon have to face his past? Is Mr. Darkness going to pull one over the Organization? Can't wait to find out!

poor Sora, Tifa did the right thing, have to admit i was all sad/aw/adorable when she held him right before casting sleep; they work well together as a type of brother sister love, daw PROTECT HIS INNOCENCE GIRL HE'S SO CUTE T.T

being serious the scene in Land of the Dragons shocked me...good going! when it went on about Sora being too young to see all of that, it did actally make me realise "wow he really IS too young to see those horrible things" just never thought of it until now, thanks x3

It was lovely to get back into this story. I'm still really interested to see exactly what you do with Naminé and Roxas, considering how the situation that you have them in here differs from the normal game.

I can't believe Kairi took Yuna to chase after Sora, though! I mean, I understand why she did it, but oh my gosh. Not a good idea! And Yuna is so young, so... Well, I do hope this gives Yuna a chance to shine, even as a child. Still, alarms are going off in my head!

And we have Sora traveling with Tifa and Zidane again! Man, I love the dynamics between those three. But poor Sora, seeing all that carnage! He needs a hug. Good for Zidane and Tifa, getting him out of there. Although making him sleep seemingly wasn't the best course of action... Has he lost his memories now? What's happened? Gah!
