As always, this chapter was fantastic, though I greatly object to the ending. D: Definitely not expected.

One typo - "...the wave of renewed grief surfaced in Elboron's expression upon seening his death mother's brother..." I believe you mean "dead" instead of "death."

OK, I was all set when I saw the Story Alert, to squee over the story and scream that you UPDATED! And I loved the first half and was so happy and was about to type a glowing review...

And then you killed Faramir.

excellent writing. Though this is a plot done often, Eowyns death, your stellar writing gives it a fresh take.

A gripping account of Faramir's soul's wanderings. I do hope Aragorn can somehow get him back as it is not yet his time to rejoin Eowyn.

*looking desperately for another chapter* Oh, no... you can´t, please, you can´t stop right here. Please. It´s heartrendering to see all those people in pain. Faramir suffering from his gift of forsight and Aragorn suffering the worst nightmare of any healer: not to be able to help and considering ending it as a "saving grace". *sigh* What a chapter - no what a great story you are telling here with beautifully crafted characters. Even the nasty Lords in Council are worth reading... Elboron in his being torn apart is so much like his Grandfather - but also like his father. I don´t envy his inheritance, but I can understand him partways...

This was very moving and I loved your scenes for Aragorn and Faramir and how the King cares for hs friend.
It is a basic rule of first aid not to give an unconscious person anything to drink,by the way.
I'm enjoyiong your story very much and eagerly await more.

What a racking chapter! I loved the flashback to Faramir and Aragorn in the library—"I-I do read…on occasion…” *grins* But then, the torment in Aragorn's mind, as he thinks on what should be done for Faramir. *shivers* Well done, indeed.

Oh, goodness, my stomach was doing flip flops. It's as hard for us readers to watch poor Faramir suffering as it is for Aragorn, though I must acknowlege that your portayal is an excellent one. The personal connection between King and Steward adds a lot to the dramatic tension, and I'm glad you devoted an entire chapter to it. Keep on writing!

I really liked that flashback Aragorn had...heh, "A little light reading before dinner?" It made me giggle.

Hurray, an update! Yes, Elboron matches here perfectly with the Elboron from LTOMF. I love how Legolas easily and effortlessly deals with Elboron's...well, tantrum is a good word. You can definitely see that he is the more mature one.

But I do feel sorry for Elboron, as he does not understand Faramir, and since Faramir is acting in a seemingly irrational way at this point. The last line of this chapter really shook me.

I was only thinking of this today and am glad you have updated. I hope to see more of Aragorn and Faramir soon. Elboron stikes me as rather thoughtless,maybe more like Boromir than his father?
