Very interesting story, the wishes of the people. My favorite was probably Eric and Marie, because I never would have guessed their reasons.

About the whole Rogue/power thing, sexual abuse I can see, though I thought it was because she was anti-everybody and wanted a bubble of untouchableness about her. But I like what you did. (Named after a cat... ouch.)

I just read all of these, and there's just this sort of irony floating about... I mean its almost sort of funny, well some of them are, Scott's mostly. And I thought Jean's last line was amusing. About the pink i mean, after all that, comes down to pink, which she still can't achieve. But I can totally feel for the characters and see exactly where their coming from. I love the introspective nature of this fic. I found Magneto's thoughts on metal to be quite the interesting take. Rogue's was definitely unexpected, and I could definitely see that as being "true" The name she was given was a nice touch, not even hers. What also is really great is that these are issues they're still dealing with, making them much more meaningful and relevant to the character.

I've never thought of his past that way. It's an honourable and an idealistic thought. I hope someday he succeeds.

Me likey. I was surprised at the end. I thought it would be something like, her wanting what everyone else had. She wished she could be everyone else. She wished she escape from her life and enter into others'. But I liked this. Jealousy.

You need to do some more. Kurt's would seem obvious, that because of his physical appearnace he wished he could escape...but I expect you to think of something else for Nightcrawler. Some cool theory using his name...

Kitty needs to have some cool thing too, because her phasing could be similar to the 'leaving' or 'sexual abuse' like Kurt or Rogue.

Storm, even though it is obvious to use the whole Cairo experance, I think it could be good.

This is very interisting. I love how it is not entirely perdictable, how you devert from the mainstream stuff. It throws something special in and makes it an enjoyable read.

Wow. That is SUCH a cool idea! And it works perfectly for Evo-verse, as well, because she was adopted by Mystique and Irene, but we never find out much about any other family of her's. I really like this idea.

I think my favourite aspect of this particular drabble is the fact that Rogue's been named after the matron's dead cat. It's a lovely tip of the hat to the whole whats-the-hell's-her-name issue that surrounds Rogue in comics. Is she Marie? Anna? Anna-Marie? Marian? WHO CARES.
What you say here is that it doesn't even matter. Her name, the one that's really her, is Rogue.

I like that even after you say what her name is, you refer to her as 'the child'. Marie isn't her name. It never was, it never will be. She's essentially nameless and identity-less until she takes on her real name and her powers. They are what's her, what defines who she is. It's what's distinctly Rogue as opposed to the bits and pieces that she not only got handed down and had to hand on, but collects from other people as a result of her power.

And by the by, you don't even own your love for Scott, m'dear. I do believe we share that. *winks*

This is a nice exploration of the characters. Some of them really pull at me.

Not bad! I mean, some of the stories conflict with the character's actual history (kinda), but it's pretty well-written! Do you know Logan's actual history (if you don't, I don't blame you!)? Anyhoo, I'd like to see Shadowcat, or some of the new mutants. Freakishly large thumbs-up!

i really like you're story. i'd have to say that i like jean's chapter the best. rogue's is good too, different. different from the evo rogue somewhat, b/c is some episodes you could tell that she does want to touch, but also, there is the jealousy thing that you could sense for her. it makes sense.

Actually I think this is a very interesting take on Rogue's power ... could also explain why she takes other peoples powers ... I liked it. :)

I REALLY like this story. Jean's chapter is extremely... creepy, for some reason.
