2009-04-05 . chapter 1
Wow...this is one of the best Hisagi stories I have ever read! It is compelling and unique. I know this was written quite a while ago, but the emotions and the characters keep it contemporary..LOL the speed at which Kubo is laying it all out, this scene probably was only a few months ago...hehe.
You write wonderfully...great job!

Wow, if anything was worthy of a follow up, this certainly is. I was so hoping for Hisagi to have a happy ending, but in the end, I cried at his loss. Again. He can't see to catch a break from Aizen. That's how I see this, Aizen is the cause of all his troubles. Losing his classmates, losing his captain, losing his lover. I really do hope you have continued writing. I found this completely by accident and I'm glad I had the chance to read it. Thank you so much for sharing.

No, really, I am stunned. I loved it, adored it. Will, possibly, enshrine it.
Beautiful and awe inspiring.

i know this is a long time off, but great story!! i hate the hisagi/yumi pairring with a passion, but i will say this was a great story, very well written, and, above all else, beautiful description. i still hate the pairring, but it put a great twist to the story!! i loved all the sadness and stuff, im a real loser for sob stories, so it was probably one of the best ones ive read! gawh i just go on and on... anyways! i love the story, even if i hate the pairring... ironic, isnt it?

So sad and so moving. Those little slices from in-between without showing the conclusion can be so invigorating to thought. Beautiful.

Wow. I have to say, when I clicked on this story and say Hisagi/Yumichika, I rolled my eyes thinking "another crack pairing" and almost clicked back. But that will teach me to judge too quickly, and I'm glad I *didn't* click back. I can't say that I imagine Hisagi/Yumichika happening, but this story was beautiful, and managed, for its duration, to make me BELIEVE it. Before reading it I would have said it would be impossible to portray a Hisagi that I believed in while in this sort of scenario, but you managed it deftly.

I loved the intensity of Ikkaku's anger when he confronts Hisagi; I could see it so clearly. But I think the exchange that jumped out clearest to me was the conversation with Iba in the beginning - that felt so natural, both in the dialogue and in their personalities, that I could really hear and see it in my mind.

But I think what I loved best was the description of how Soul Society is psychologically affected after the betrayal. The way everyone treats Hisagi, and his reaction to it, feels completely spot on. And the descriptions of Kira and Hinamori (and again, Hisagi's feelings about it) were so good and accurate that they were terribly painful.

Also, ending the story with the tragically ironic twist of Hisagi feeling he finally understands Tousen a little better, as he chooses trying to save Yumichika somehow instead of doing his clear Shinigami duty, choosing to betray Ikkaku in the process... what a great ending. Terrible ending, but great. :)

I came to your profile today to review another story of yours that I read a while back, but I'm really glad I gave this one a try. :)

The most I can get out of my mouth right now is "Oh My God." I try to say something else, it just comes out as mindless syllables. I mean, OH MY GOD!, you know? I just never imagined Hisagi turning traitor. I thought he'd be the last one to ever do such a thing, as he just seems so honorable and so just and he'd been betrayed himself, so he just wouldn't do it himself. But you make it seem like he really really would. You give a great reason and you just make it all so convincing. It's excellent.

It's been some time since I've read/reviewed your fics. I was qutie a fan some years back, but I got into some other fandoms for a while and kind of forgot about my old faves. But, since I stalk aishuu like crazy, I've rediscovered you. It's nice to know that not only is your old stuff good, your new stuff is really great. You've gotten better with time. =)
