WOW! I discovered this story ages ago and I am so glad I found it again. This is definitely one of the best Katie/Oliver fics I have read because it's so realistic and romantic at the same time. I love how you explored Oliver's issues with Quidditch (as most writers treat it as a mere idiosyncrasy, plopped in to link their stories with canon) and Katie's own very real issues of who she is and what she wants to be in the future. Their chemistry is amazing and all of their arguments sizzle with tension. I don't know if you've seen the 2005 film version of Pride and Prejudice but your Katie/Oliver really reminded me of Lizzie/Darcy! The characters were also very much in-character and the dialogue is fantastic with lots of wry humour and significant conversations. Katie and Oliver's relationship developed really well as their feelings were not stated explicitly but were hinted at. You're a greeat writer and I do hope you write more soon!

I really love your characterization of Oliver as a "two dimensional, Quidditch-obsessed freak." It really is quite hilarious as I can actually think of guys that I knew back in high school that were really like that. I also like how you didn't start out the story with Katie and Oliver being secretly in love with one another. Although I do love stories like that, it is refreshing to read one that isn't. I haven't read this fic before as I've just started reading fics containing the KBOW ship, but I really do enjoy this one.

Just started reading this story and this chapter was hilarious. I loved Harry's reaction to Oliver's speech & how they're plotting to get him a girlfriend. Well, on to read more!

I love how you finished it with their first kiss. Perfect! And Ollie was so cutely unsure of himself. Squee!!

i loved it, but couldn't you have a longer scene where they snog? katie suffered throughout the whole story, and all you give her is one itsy-bitsy snogging scene? that was great, and the way you developed the relationship was great too.

This is the first Katie/Oliver fic I've read (not that I have anything against the pairing; I just haven't gotten a chance to read it). It was great, and I absolutely loved it! I'm been glued to my computer reading this for a while now, and it was just so cute and so well written that I couldn't bring myself to stop and study for my geography test tomorrow. =]

So thank so much for this great fanfic! I hope you had HALF as much fun writing it as I had reading it!

That was beautiful! It took me a couple of days to finish this, but it was great while it lasted. Although some mistakes here and there, this was perhaps the best KBOW story I have ever read! Kudos!

Loved this story!! I must say - no offense intended - that I thought it was a lot better than most of the Katie-Oliver stories out there. Why? Because it didn't start out with them being secretly in love with each other, or having already dated, or them dating other people with much drama following (besides, since when has Oliver ever gotten off his broomstick long enough to notice girls?). You didn't make them magically realize in a matter of three-and-a-half seconds that they loved each other, nor did you push them in a broom closet. Because the real value of KBOW lies in them taking forever to get it through their thick skulls that they fancy each other. Meaning, yours was a very respectable KBOW story. I thank you for it.

I must admit (yes, I'm am pathetic) that I actually have read it at least three times - not in one sitting, mind you, but every once in a while I'll think, "gee, I'm in the mood for a Katie & Oliver story" but Guess what? I can't find any I like. And I eventually find myself reading A Friend In Need. Again.
Yes, I am on the edge of stalking this story, but the point of this long rambling review was to say that I thought it was really good, not to point out my severe lack of life. Also it's three in the morning and my brain died a little over an hour ago, the result being this review about how pathetic I am.

So...um...good story. :)
