Aww, the ending was so sweet! Though it was puzzling how Ash managed to come back to life - maybe it was a gift from the other dimension for all the hard work he did? That seems the most plausable.

Anyway, I'm glad this story had a happy ending; I ship Ash/Marona to the max (I even own a small site dedicated to the relationship) and this is still one of my favorite Phantom Brave stories. It's unfortunate there isn't more written about this highly underappreciated game!

Again, wonderful job with this, and thanks for writing it in the first place!

Still, chapter 2 sure gave me some inspiration for my 'Ashes to Ashes'. That's almost like how I wanted my chapter 3 to be: Ash getting back his senses and stuff. *tilts head* Though a little more different, since he's a demon in my story.

And wouldn't you know it. ;D I just started playing Phantom Brave a few weeks ago. Instantly hooked, ne. And I'm thinking, "I want to read a really, really, -really- good PB fiction."

This was my antidote.

Wow, that was really beautiful. Sad, yes, but still beautiful. I felt so bad for Ash - I always liked to think he could at least feel a little bit while in his confined state, but the way you wrote how he shouldn't even be feeling human emotions anymore really made me sad. It's nice to know though that he DOES still have them, though he's probably denying it to avoid conflict with Marona.

I'd love to see a second chapter, myself. I also prefer happy endings, and since Ash/Marona is one of my most favorite pairings, it would be a dream come true to see them together. Forever and ever.
