I've seen only the series and not the film, but I hope I can follow your story regardless. Hopefully you'll take your time in fleshing out the story. There aren't many longer (40+ kw) RahXephon fanfics here, and I think this story might have the framework for one. Of course, I'm hardly an expert on these issues and it is all up to you how long a fic you'll eventually write.

Bottom line: please, keep on writing this fic :)
