I would die of happiness if the show ever ended this way. I can see them pulling something like that on us. "The show's over and by the way Goren-Eames have been together for years! Muhahah!"

I have to say i think this would be a perfect ending to the series...i can almost see them doing this and shocking the audience by revealing they've been more than just partners for years maybe... and "you win...i'll go with you" was a great place to end it...simple but also emotional

Ah, new discoveries. Another one that escaped me. What a pity. This was beautiful. My favorite line:

"Their height difference didn't matter when they lay in bed. Once there, they'd linger over exploring and teasing all their other differences, bringing them to yearning awareness and aching need."

That's what my best friend told me when we were young and I liked the tall boy down her street. She was right, of course, but you have a much more eloquent way of putting it. ;)

But I should scratch that actually, THIS:

"You win … I'll go with you."

is one hell of a line. I think this story and Marion's "End and Begin Again" are probably the two best series endings nbc could possibly hope for.

I read this again on Amorous Intent. Still love it. I love your transition from seemingly "just partners" to "more than just partners" within the story. You should definitely continue this. :-)

And a fantastic suggestion it is.

Ok...it's incredibly sad and has me grinning like an idiot at the same time. LOL How you managed that I'll never know. I hate the thought of what he'll go through when his mother does die on the show. Though, I doubt they'll ever tell us. It'll just be something that's brought up later. I'm glad she agreed to go, and I like that we didn't know he wanted her to go with him. I can't believe she'd say to start with. :) They can get each other through anything.

Nice job... hell, I feel sad just thinking about the show's eventual end (or VDO leaving it). I'll perpetually be watching my tapes & dvds so Bobby will at least live on in my own living room.

That was absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking, as always. Let's not talk about the end of the show - it pains me to even consider it, although I agree. If we don't get some Bobby lovin when this show goes off the air (sob, wail, moan), I'm gonna be **. Nice job with this one, as always.

Wow, that was excellent, I love that Alex broke down and decided to be with Bobby, just the way they are meant to be. Re. your A/N I hope TPTB take your suggestion as well. It would be very fitting. With the move to Friday this fall I am afraid that we are into the last year, perhaps two, anyway. When NBC moved my Third Watch they in essence 'killed' it, and I am afraid that is what they are doing to CI as well. Anyway... NBC Honchos! Read and commit to your memory for the inevitable.
