| sesshomaruwriter 2008-04-07 ch 2, | abuseWhy did they have to die?? but really good. |
| Amadoni 2007-11-03 ch 2, | abuseI know I'll sound corny. But this fic was so Japanese--if that makes sense. There is an authenticy here that I rarely see in fanfiction. Excellent work. BTW, sometimes it's the tragedy in the story that really hits home for the reader. Ja ne. |
| sansho 2007-10-18 ch 2, | abuseYour story is really good. You cought Sesshomaru's caracther in a way that I can't describe. He is, as you said, an aristocratic youkai, but I do think that he can fall in love with Rin - a humen - because we don't know of his past, and so we can't know what made him the person - youkai - that he is. Never stop writting! Untill your next story, x Sansho x |
| And Yes 2007-04-27 ch 1, | abuseI admit that I'm rather picky about the author's personal writing style at times. I try not to be, but it comes naturally. Like a genetic curse or something. And I'm more intrigued by your plots and the suspense you wove into this than anything else. This was a fantastic read. My first venture into IY on ff . net, and I must say, it definitely did not disappoint. :] |
| BlackMoonWhite 2007-01-29 ch 1, | abuseO_O! I--! Why yo--! That was stu--! I hat--! DAMMIT! -cries- Much as I'd like to, it seems I'm incapable of flaming this...this...horri-wonderfullywrittenhypnoticincharacterbeautifullytragicamazingenvyinducing -ble oneshot! (sigh)I am, in all honesty, at a loss for words. Words can't describe it - doing so would be blasphemy against this god-sent piece. You managed to sucessfully weave a tale that was delicate yet utterly believable, you managed to accurately capture thier relationship - in particular Rin's devotion to her lord - and you managed to convincingly set up political scenario that had me (and doubtless other readers) at the edge of my seat. I have welts in my hand from clenching my fists so hard at the end! I say all this as a devout Sess/Rin fan. My grudging praises to you. (Now, don't you think your skills would be so much more appreciated at the lighter end of this spectrum? Aren't you curious as to why Rumiko-san created such contrasting characters and forced them together? Apart from lust, why on earth would a taiyoukai fall for a mere slip of a girl? ...my attempt at subtle hinting is terrible, I know. Sorry. ^__^;) |
| virginmaryaxe 2007-01-27 ch 2, | abusewow, I never saw that ending coming! well done! |
| s 2006-10-25 ch 1, anon. | abusei just am speechless. i re-read the last few paragraphs before i submitted my mind to their message. it's really terrible and beautiful. but in a way which i think would flatter you more than insult you; i wish i never read it. |
| Mendelbra 2006-10-03 ch 2, anon. | abuseAmazing! I thought the ending was fitting and beautiful in its own way. |
| obsessed dreamer 2006-09-24 ch 2, | abuseah, i must indeed be sick in the head. i love Sess/Rin pairing but my fave stories of them are often tragic. it was wise of you to place a separate author's notes (and i agree with you in your take on the pairing with sesh being aristocratic and all) and the inclusion of historical figures was clever. it was just so sad for sesh to die like that just when he had finally understood his father and InuYasha...at least, he had not lived long enough to feel the pain of Rin's betrayal. the decision must have been very difficult for Rin, although it would have been nice if you had given a perspective of what had gone through her heart and mind prior to the murder. but i digress, i like it the way it is--told in naomasa's point of view. |
| Almandine-Azaleea 2006-09-02 ch 1, | abuseMeticulous, exquisite, perfect! There is little I can say about this story that is not summed up by those three words. It was beautiful, tragic, emotional, vivid, faithful to the characters and overall so hert-wrenching that I'm still trying to catch my breath. I love the description of the court, the changes that happen in Rin, her soft-spoken confessions, and the introspective into Sesshomaru's thoughts. Simply stunning, and with perfect grammar and great lay-out to match, this read was an absolute jewel and this far, the best SesshomaruXRin story I have ever read. Beyond beautiful, beyond tragic. Stunning piece! |
| Neko-Lady 2006-08-26 ch 2, | abuseWow! Not where I was expecting this to go! Well written, excellent grammar and spelling. (So important, and so ignored!) Now I have three choices for Best Drama, Ah! |
| The Library Angelus 2006-08-18 ch 1, | abuseExceptionally lovely, magnificently so. Fitting end to their infelicitous love, misadventured and legendary. For that is how all myths and lore are born and eventually twisted to suit the narrator's beliefs. Wow, I am in such awe of you. This one-shot was amazing! Superb, beautiful. Nicely implied Japanese history--the decline of the shogunate. Very fitting, indeed. :] I don't know whether to pity those two or laugh at the irony. Demons and humans can't be together. It's not just the whole forbidden love thing, but the unrealistic and terrible corollaries it would inevitably bring. Even in the manga, practically every demon and human related love ended in disaster and tragedy. - sigh - Kagome and Inuyasha's are bound to happen! xD Anyway, wonderful job on depicting the finer sublties. Very nice. I like very much. xD (Renata) |
| soulwriterchick 2006-07-24 ch 1, | abuseA very beautiful story. Every description, every emotion... the way you wrote it made me weep in the end. Thank you. |
| Caitriona695 2006-07-13 ch 1, | abuseThis is a fabulous yet tragic story. Sesshoumaru's death at the end was a twist that I didn't expect. I honestly expected to read of Rin's death in the end, but not of Sesshoumaru's. You have woven history and anime into a beautiful piece. Thanks so much for sharing it with us all! Caitriona |
| cutemara 2006-07-12 ch 1, | abusewow...I'm speechless...it seems like you got into his head and pulled out his thoughts...wow...just wow... |
