abuseI just love this story. It's definitely one of my favorite, perhaps even my favorite, Narnia fic. I'm a sucker for injured-in-battle Peter, so that was a huge plus. Great, great story!

abuseThis is by far my all time favorite Narnia FF. I love it! The way you portray everyone is accurate and just...ah, I can't describe it. Have you ever considered doing a short afterwords one-shot? The only issue I have with this story is that Peter and Edmund don't get to talk, and Peter never figures out what happened to him. It'd be a good way for him to realize just how much he means to Narnia. Just thinking.

This is brilliant!

abuseI'm trying to catch my breath. (in out, in out, in out) Okay I think I have enough oxygen in my body again after reading this riviting STORY! I braved a terrible lightening storm in a parking lot to read "Eye of the Beholder". I was completely consumed by it that it became greater than my fear of the storm. The rain was terrible and I jumped a couple of times because of the loud thunder, but I kept on reading because I couldn't physically stop. It was so well done that I felt I was actually there. If it could only be made into a MOVIE!
Using all the senses through everyones POV made it so real. After reading this story all I have to say is, THANK GOD ALMIGHTY FOR PRINTERS!

abuseI wasn't planning on reviewing in the middle of reading this - I was going to wait until the end - but I absolutely love the small detail that Phillip, being a horse, referred to Peter's hair color as palomino. It's small and you could pass over it easily, but if you really pay attention it stands out and makes a difference.

abuseThis story was AMAZING! It is so rare that I find such a great Chronicles of Narnia story and I am so glad that it sort of revolved around Peter. It was absolutely fantastic and I loved how you had the different POVs of everyone and showed how desperate they all were to save High King Peter after he had fallen. Such a great story and I loved every single minute of it! Great job and can't wait to read more!

abuseI liked seeing the different POVs. I especially liked Phillip's. It was very... horselike. Well, it reminded me of the was Lewis wrote when taking Fledge'sor Jewel's POV. Only one criticism; it feels incomplete. I can't explain why it feels incomplete, so it's not even a good criticism.

abuseYou've flattened me once again with your brilliance! It was so unusual and wonderful to hear some of the story from the POV of the enemy! I especially loved to hear from Phillip, Flisk, and Sir Giles Fox! Great job! Blessings! ~Ila

abuseI really enjoyed this story. I suppose I might have wanted a bit more epilougue at the end though. It seemed a bit abrupt. But I really liked the battle and everyone's part in it. It was very exciting.

abuseStunningly written. What more is there to say?
I thought this story made for a nice change of pace, quick and violent, just like a battle ought to be. The changes in POV kept the story interesting, giving us a complete view of the picture which may otherwise have become lost if told from the view of just one person. And the idea of having some of the story told from the opposite side, well. Expertly done.
And you still managed to fit in a beautifully warm, gentle brotherly moment in for Peter and Ed. I loved the way you portrayed both brothers in this, and I almost cringed for the ogre when Peter went down; I just got a horrible sensation that Justice wouldn't be slow in finding Methalain (pun most definitely intended!)
Once again, I bow to your brilliance.
Yours,

abuseKiller story, I loved it! :-) It was really intense, I was holding my breath through a lot of it, lol. I love how you handled all the different points of view, too. It was fun hearing from Phillip and Flisk, especially.

abuseNow that Thole's done I thought I'd take the opportunity to peruse some of your older pieces. What a joy it was to discover this one! I love how accurately you get inside the minds of so many different characters... and of course, you KNOW it's coming, so I may as well say it now: THANK you for giving Flisk the PROPER color horn! Once again your ability to use each of Narnia's native species to their full advantage makes itself known here, and I just love it. A very nice read while I await something new. :)
