I love this so much. *happy sigh* Usually, even well-written Pendergast doesn't sound quite right to me, but here I can totally imagine him speaking.

And D'Agosta saying his name and the awkwardness about it all...Gah! Awesome. The whole piece has a quiet tenseness about it.

What I wouldn't give for more Pendergast / D'Agosta like this.
