mb 2008-02-17 . chapter 1 I must say I've never watched a batman movie, read a comic-besides the ones in the Sunday paper- or seen Casablanca but I absolutely loved your story. The little parallels were delicious- Kory and Tim for instance. I also liked how you incorporated some of the lines from the movie (Even if I've never seen it I've read enough fics which have included the lines). I very much prefer your third person limited view point for this one than the first person you used for Fall to Grace. Thanks for writing. |
tear 2002-01-28 . chapter 1 this was a extremely well written piece.
I liked how the dc characters were scattered around...
thanks for the story. |
Crash 2001-09-28 . chapter 1Your right. It certainly does fit... |
N1 2001-09-02 . chapter 1Wow, that was an excellent idea - you were right, the characters fit perfectly, but differently.
I enjoyed the whole thing - specially the effort you made with the dialoge. It worked. |
storyfish 2001-07-17 . chapter 1Okay, so I try not to gush in my reviews (hmm...haven't been doing that very well lately) but I can't resist... AAAAH! This story was so CUTE! I loved seeing the Bat family in Casablanca. Great job! (I think I'm gonna have to go to the library and take out Casablanca just to celebrate this fic. *grins*) |
TDX 2001-07-11 . chapter 1 Damn good story. I think I'll go out and Casablanca now:) |
Slam Bradley 2001-06-30 . chapter 1 "...I'm shocked--shocked!"--Very well done pastiche of CASABLANCA."Everybody comes to Dick's",indeed. You lean verrry heavily on the original CASABLANCA screenplay for your dialogue. However,it all seems to work.Your descriptions of the characters are excellent. This is a lot of fun and easy to visualise. It's a mystery DC hasn't done as Elseworlds with CASABLANCA as it's inspiration.Keep up the good work! |
A Reader 2001-06-27 . chapter 1 Gees, can this story get any better? :) Love it! |
Tracey Claybon 2001-06-23 . chapter 1I expected pieces of the ending - but was still surprised at the turn in the end... Great Casablanca style mystery...

John Westcott 2001-06-22 . chapter 1It would probably help if I had ever seen Casablanca from beginning to end, which I never have (I know, that's my loss lol). Anyway, despite that oversight on my part, I can say you are a good writer. |
 Vespera 2001-06-10 . chapter 1Great rendition! I was teary-eyed :) |
cecil 2001-06-02 . chapter 1 Oh, please write more. I love Casablanca and I want to read about Dick meeting Barbara again. |
 Teala373 2001-06-02 . chapter 1 WOW! This is really good! i can't wait to read more! ^_^ |
Ana 2001-06-02 . chapter 1 You absolutely must get out more . . . and FAST! I do quite a bit of reading, but it isn't often when the stories scream for a review. This one did. Wow. I think the best part--for me--had to have been the dialogue. There isn't a big chunk of expository writing to describe the emotions . . . so the dialogue has to carry that burden. ;) And it does so well. |
 Slea 2001-06-01 . chapter 1AWESOME |
