Um...he introduced himself as William the bloody. it didn't take intellect to figure out his name's William-- SPIKE TOLD HIM [end of last chapter] "“Because I’m doomed, Bat.” Spike used the nickname with a tinge of irony. “I could save a thousand lives, kill a thousand demons, doesn’t make a difference. I am damned to the darkest part of the hottest hell for what I have done. There is not enough soap in the world to wash the blood off my hands.”" I must have missed something. Isn't the entire point of, say, Angel, about redemption? Even after he says--with some certainty-- that he's damned, he says that he "may not be able to redeem" himself. May not? he sounded pretty danged sure a minute ago. And, while Batman is a scientist, I've never thought of him as speaking around something like a Jesuit. Damn, when did he become this long winded?
The Beta Reader 2007-08-13 ch 13, anon.	abuseFirst of all, a flash-bang is not only seven times brighter than the sun, it's loud enough to make a normal human bleed from the eyes and ears. Imagine what it does to a vampire, with enhanced hearing and night vision. Second, wouldn't Batman have throwing knives made of wood? Heck, considering that he has a remote-controlled, jet-propelled baterang, I'm surprised you didn't have him do the same thing with a cross and have that keep vampires either at bay or dead.

Illyria was an old one, kind of funny to think she was one of those he probably worshipped...

I've been wanting a believable continuation of the Buffy verse for a long time (the published books just didn't work for me!) and not only have you chosen a crossover with one of my favorite verses but with my favorite incarnation of that verse (the most interesting period in the comic series if you ask me!). Then you didn't let me down with out of character dialogue or shoddy writing! You have even managed to catch me up on previous stories without the exposition seeming forced! Thank you so much. I've only got to chapter 2 so far, can't wait to read the rest, but had to stop to give you the props you so richly deserve!
