Jeez, I finally got around to reading this chapter. But they always say 'better late then never'.
This story definitely appears to be taking a different, and more realistic approach, then the original, which is nice.
I like how the stories being told and everything is still well detailed.

Wow... This is coming along sweetly. One question, though. Who was the friend that Shinji could not save?

This is Nice, i love it! It keeps the classic Rei kawaii clueless-ness and Shinji's chicken attitude. But, if you make the ending to this story all sad and depressing, WOE UNTO YOU.

And yet another update I have been waiting for. Good good. And Shinji keeps showing Rei that she is a person and there are things in life to enjoy and relish. And you made good job on descibing their feeling and what they think. But why is Shinji sounding like a coward? Is he like the Shinji we saw in the series? Or is he suffering from a low self esteem for failing to save someone he cared about? We want to know and hopefully you tell us in the next chapter. Great work again.

I had to review this before I forget again. Great chapter here. Truly starts things off for version 3 of this fanfic (I think its version 3). Anyway, can't wait for the next chapter (although I have no choice)

Wow. It would appear that all the time you spent in RL gave you a bit more writing sharpness when it comes to your stories. This one is defintely one of your most descriptive written chapter. What ever book you read to make you write like this inform me because Atlas Shrugged gets depressive in Act 2.

YES! WHUHU! You updated this one! Thank you. Even though I liked the original one, this one has something I can't describe.
The way Rei met Shinji was great, especially when she didn't respond at first, but Shinji didn't give up. And when he learn how she has lived, he get's angry and takes her to his place and gives her clothes and takes her to a date, but she doesn't remember how they were supposed to go. And there goes the first step of freeing Rei from prostitution. I like how this is going, so keep on updating.

And now some constructive critisism. When Shinji takes Rei to a mall or somewhere, how about if Rei eats meat in this story, like a hamburger or something. And while they are going around the mall, those earlier punks who want to 'try out her tight holes' try to take her away but Shinji kicks some ass. And after they are sitting in a car at the hill looking at the city, they tell their lives in detail. How everything began and things like that.
