Not the best story I ever read, but it's okay. You should write more. I think you should write a story about Sakuno and Ryoma at school. Something happens and it ends with them making out under a Sakura Tree, romantic huh?

The library scene and Ryoma's irritation at having to help a customer at closing time rang very true. The descriptive detail of having the books crammed in so tightly on the shelf that Sakuna couldn't get the Velveteen Rabbit book back in was well done.

I particularly liked the ending where you made it clear that Ryoma was consciously teasing Sakuna in order to put her at ease and draw her out. Nicely done!

Out of curiosity: so are you of the opinion that Ryouma was primarily raised in Japan then? I've always thought of him as spending more of his life in the U.S.
