xomizz.understood 2009-10-26 . chapter 1I had to sign up just to let you know that this story is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, the plot, the romance, the angst, it made my literally melt. PLEASE write a sequel, if you did I would review every chapter! |
ruroca57 2009-10-19 . chapter 26Hi Ludi, I haven't been on the site very long but I read many stories and the house of cards is on my top 3 list. Being a fan of Rogue and Gambit, I was pleased to read this one, I give it up to you, all the chapters were so well written and it left me wanting more, it gave me suspense, drama, romance, a sense of realization and made me feel like I was there and it's hard for me to me in aaww with a story with great imagination, I was not disappointed. It is true that the comic world has changed so much and especially the characters but what can you do that's why I love this site sometimes it's better than the story line in the comics, it's full of imagination and possibilities from thaw youngest of writers to the old school ones. But all and all I love your stories keep on writing! |
Randirogue 2009-10-16 . chapter 26I swear, in memory, this story ended sadly. Maybe I'm mixing it up with Angy's story, but I would have bet my life on it that Remy and Mystique and everyone thought Rogue died. Craptastic, a happy ending? It was like I'd never read the last couple chapters before. Fantabulous, it was. I REALLY want the sequel now! |
Randirogue 2009-10-15 . chapter 3Ahh, giving this another read is bringing me back in time. I love this story. I hope you write a sequel. I even voted in your poll for that. |
 arianshifter 2009-10-06 . chapter 21Okay.
I just read this whole story through, stumbled on it sometime last night via your DA account and finished it this morning.
This story...is beautiful. The concepts you've explored, love and want, are often neglected in a lot of stories, fan fictions very much so.
And yet here sits a coming-of-age tragedy. The girl that cannot know intimacy suddenly loses everything she loves and is left with a whole lot of emptiness to fill up.
And, of course, the man that can't commit finds himself edging towards something deeper and far more dangerous than the romantic nothings he can produce so well.
And you've explored duty versus morals versus survival, which is a fascinating conflict, and I feel that you've captured both characters perfectly.
All in all, a far cry better than any of the relatively shallow stories I've read of late. What you've written has depth, class, and has left me with things to think over.
Thanks. |
Mira-mcgrath 2009-07-07 . chapter 26 I couldn't stop reading this. You're writing style is very strong, and fit this world that you created perfectly. I loved how you handled all of the characters, they seemed very true to their comic counterparts. I usually don't read fanfics that turn out this long, but this really held my attention, and it was definitely with it. I know I'm rambling a little, so I'll cut this short. Wonderful job. Keep writing. This was a pleasure to read.

aiRo25 2009-07-06 . chapter 26I have put off reviewing this baby mostly because of my heavily mixed feelings. I loved it. I hated it. I loved Remy. I hated him. I loved Rogue. I hated her. I loved what they managed to save and hated who they had to become. This whole story managed to force me to keep reading when I really, really wanted to stop, before it could get worse.
You're one of the best Romy writers I've read and this I will totally hand to your amazing story: it made me feel. |
Baschashe 2009-06-08 . chapter 26It took me a whole day and a half to read this gem. I have stiff shoulders, creak in my neck but I am gobsmacked and astounded by this brilliant masterpiece!
Your descriptions were so fluid and intricate I could picture it all so clearly! The characters were wonderfully intense and I simply could not stop reading. You have made the Romyness everything it is and should be! A mixture of humour, passion and angst...I cannot say anything more than this...
This is perfect. |
Black Metalmark 2009-05-19 . chapter 26This is by far the best Gambit/Rogue fanfiction I've ever read. The potrayal of the character's was absolutely perfect and the emotions and flow of words in the story matched very well as well. The ending was broad and left questions about the future but I happened to find that ending best suited for the story.
An absolutely breathtaking story that I couldn't stop reading till the very end. :3
I definitely can find myself rereading this story over and over again.
Nicely done~ |
martshi3 2009-05-09 . chapter 26Wow that was such a beautiful story. I would have revised earlier but I was enthralled by your story from the start. You have a real talent and I honestly hope that you willhave a successful career as an author that way you could be paid for the wonderful things you created. |
KatSin 2009-04-20 . chapter 26*smiles* This was a long hard road to walk down with sweet Rogue and Remy, but I'm ultimately glad I did. This story made me smile, and laugh, slam my fists on the desk in anger, and cry more tears than I have in quite a while. Long after I close this window, I'm going to find myself looking into the horizon and hoping that, somewhere, Rogue and Remy are out in their slice of the world, fighting their battles, helping one another through their hardships, and staying in love.
It takes a good writer to make a story interesting. It takes a great one to make it a part of who you are, to stay with that reader forever. You're one of the greats. Thank you. |
KatSin 2009-04-20 . chapter 25oh I hope Rachel is okay in the end... i hope they're al okay... |
KatSin 2009-04-20 . chapter 24*sniffles for the millionth time* god... Rogue endures so much... i hope Remy forgives her for that rock incident later... |
KatSin 2009-04-20 . chapter 23oh god... i knew it wouldn't have killed him... i was scared for a second, but i knew. thank the gods... |
KatSin 2009-04-20 . chapter 22stupid military... they could have worked it out. they could have tried. maybe if it had taken another day or another week before they attacked, Rogue might have been by Remy's side. They might have stayed together. |
