This story is really, really intriguing, and so far it is putting me through one of the best cliffhangers ever! I congratulate you on your perserverance in to carrying out Eliena's story.

However, the only thing that I would like to criticize is how Eliena seems to shift really quickly through her relationships. You said she wouldn't make it easy for Sam, but obviously she has. There has been no pining/groaning from Sam's part, and it seems to move far too quickly to allow for a reader to let it sink in - far too obvious a romance, sadly.

Keep on the good work! Just explain and capture more of Eliena's character by instilling a slower tempo, perhaps.
