In the end of one piece I'm working on, they do get married, in fact. Truth be told, I don't quite agree with all this Edge/Rydia conflict. I always thought that they had something. But it's still pretty interesting. I think this is good! Keep up the good work! |

I suppose the only thing I can say is my first thought at the end of this story: WOW. Seriously, WOW. This take on Rydia and Edge is very interesting, if something that has not been done before. The two going back to each other in the end leaves open a door of many possibilities as well (or so how I see it, anyway). Speaking of the end, I think that was my favorite part as well, though definitely NOT in the bad way, by any means. Edge first coming to Mist as an older, wiser man, then leaving and "returning" again in a reprise of his youth mannerisms, made me feel all mushy inside, for some weird reason. A very nice touch of closure! Awesome work. Well done! :) |

What I found so interesting about this story was that it took place many years later -- it wasn't the typical "happy ending" for Rydia and Edge and I quite liked that. Also, I like how they sort of went on with their lives, but yet they never *moved* on; they just didn't know how to make it work, so neither of them tried. Perhaps they thought that they had forever. This was a very haunting and beautiful read, and quite frankly this site needs your stories. :) I still don't care much for the whole Rydia/Edge thing, but I certainly love the possibilities that your stories always give (for all of the characters, for that matter). *hugs* Thanks for writing such a great story!
