Stiehl 2009-11-29 . chapter 13I have to say I love the relations between the SW and Buffy crews. Spike in particular I wish we'd seen more of. He should have interacted with a few of the real Jedi sticks in the mud, just for some more humor. The time difference between the two worlds is pretty interesting, but it must have made it interesting for you trying to figure out when to have what happen, given that time passes 5 times faster in the SW universe.
I really hate Jorus C'baoth in both this story and in the official SW canon. Arrogant bastard in both of them. Glad he eventually got what he deserved. |
 Marcus S. Lazarus 2009-05-22 . chapter 13Hoo boy…
Just when you thought you knew where this series was going, THIS kind of story happens to throw all pre-conceptions off to the side at a moment’s notice.
The exploration of the ‘exiled’ Jedi Order’s actions while adapting to life on Earth as they wait for the right moment was very interestingly written, particularly in regards to Dawn and Willow exploring their own Force-potential and the subsequent changes being made to the Jedi code, although the concept of the PPGs in particular is interesting to witness; not only does it provide an intriguing example of magic and technology coming together- much like the two series have come together to help each other tackle their respective problems-, but it grants the characters a very interesting ‘weapon’- in the sense that they can use it to escape impossible situations- to use in a worst-case scenario.
And as for the personal dynamics…
VERY interesting bits of work, really; Luke’s initially-strained relationship with Anakin in particular was an interesting touch, as were the more original combos such as Anakin’s friendship with Spike (Any chance you could have Angel featuring a bit more in future stories, though; he was always my favourite character), although I remain uncertain about Joyce.
She’s an interesting character, don’t get me wrong, but I’m never entirely comfortable with inserting OCs into plots like this; when you’re reinventing characters so drastically already- particularly with your new takes on Mara and Vader (And I GREATLY enjoy your new version of Vader, I assure you; everything that made the original version so chilling ‘split’ between the cyborg Halcyon and the insane Joruus)-, it’s like you just stuck a completely new one in to show that you could make up characters on your own, particularly since so far Joyce’s presence hasn’t made a significant impact on the plot beyond giving Buffy a reason not to be on the Death Star from the beginning...
Although I admit that her new ‘vendetta’ against Boba Fett- as well as the implied relationship with Wedge- should be interesting to see the result of, so in general I’m going to suspend full judgement of her until further notice.
Talking of relationships, I’m still a bit uncertain about the addition of this new relationship between Zett and Dawn to the equation- it might have been more interesting if you’d made him someone we already knew from the series (Can’t think of any names, but my knowledge of continuity outside the films is admittedly limited), as the ‘original’ Zett was such a blank slate beyond his skills at farsight it’s like you’re creating another OC-, and the Buffy/Obi-Wan relationship you started here appears TOTALLY superfluous- it doesn’t actually seem to add anything to the overall plot; it’s like you just stuck it in for the sake of it-, but that aside the situation seems to be very interesting so far, and I look forward to seeing how things progress from here.
(Particularly with the hints about the Emperor's plans, of course; now that is DEFINITELY going to be dangerous to deal with...) |
 Taeniaea 2008-01-24 . chapter 13Great Story!! |
Rothos1 2007-01-15 . chapter 13 Great series, yes I have read them all; including the Trials of the Empire. So far Trials is great, and I love all your other writing. Let me just say that it has turned out beter than my meek attempt, believe me I write badly, I've been severely flamed by both betas and readers. And yes these flames are where they give it to me with both barrels.Speaking of which I was hoping you could point me in the direction of a good beta; believe me so far I have had bad luck with betas and I'd rather get nudged in the right direction by a fellow author than have to put out the call and stumble through. Please reply at your leisure.
Sincerely,
Rothos1 |
AngusH 2006-12-02 . chapter 13Brilliantly done. The way that you've redone the story is amazingly clever, I really like the original characters too (Which I often don't in stories).
Wonderful! |
avidgokufan 2006-11-30 . chapter 13I have to tell you, I have really enjoyed these. There are a few things that have bothered me, like the Angel/Cordelia thing, but on the whole this is a very well written story. I am excited for the bad guys to try to tempt Buffy to the Dark Side, that should be good. You are an impressive writer. Please continue. |
 Jedi-Princess 2006-11-28 . chapter 13 WELL? |
Wild320 2006-11-22 . chapter 13Your SW stories are great. I can't wait till you write five. I hope to see more Ben/Buffy. Hope the next story comes soon. |

Yvonnia 2006-11-14 . chapter 13Wow, you're just kicking these babies out; I can't believe Episode IV is over. And what's with that ending? How can you do that to you loyal readers? What kind of author are you? I mean other than insanely talented kind? Huh? Answer me! Needless to say, I'll be eagerly awaiting the next episode. |
Tombadgerlock 2006-11-14 . chapter 13No, not the dark side for buffy and joyce :/
I have, of course, a few reasons for that. The first being that i believe that amster jedi is too emotionaly stable ot be tempted by the dark side, no matter his attachment- luke, for an exemple, consdered himself a master only when he had fought back the dark side after the clone of the empire thing. Of course, i haven't reaad the latest book, but i am hoping luke isn't the betrayer.
Also, you have insinuated into the story that the dark side is stronger, somewhat, while i believe that it is easier, but that a jedi is eventualy stronger without it- luke would be once again an exemple, as his strentgh testify, even though he is not the one with the most mid-chlorian or such things. |
 Raiining 2006-11-13 . chapter 13O
