An extremely solid effort. Not a rehash, not a rewrite, but a true expansion. Detailed, compelling, with excellent characters and tight action, while staying true to your origins. This is the true epitomie of fanfiction.

I have been reading this story on Rangerboard... but i havent been able to reply. all i can say is Oh My God! i have loved this story so much. every weekend i was like Yes a new chapter is coming up!! i started reading your memory series and i was hooked. you are a great writer!! i always wanted to reply and now i am afraid it is sort of pointless. i cant wait til Year 3. Sky being arrested, Syd being kidnapped. omg!! now here are so things i want to comment on...

i loved Quinn the whole Quinn/Sky thing was so cool. i hope Quinn makes up with his mom in Y3.

The whole Syd/Sky thing i wasnt such a fan of. i mean you wrote it extremely well its just i like sky/z better.

the way you wrote about the characters was amazing as well. i thought it was the best but of course you have heard enough about that.

Then you killed Jack twice! that got me a little mad. if you killed another man character like Sky in the finale i was going to be very mad at you.

so thats most of what i thought. also add what everyone else said because everything about this story was good.

IT WAS BUTTERY!

Wow what a story. I loved the realism you kept with it, with who lived and who died. I have just two complaints. Firstly, the whole 'alternative dimension' at the start just seemed pointless and out of place. The story would have been fine, even better in fact, if it had played no part in it. Secondly, I get confused whenever you say someone 'nods their head negatively'. Shakes their head would be better. To say someone nods their head means they agree, you are using a contradiction in terms, which is quite annoying to read.

I also want to congratulate you; you are one of the few writers on here who can say they made me cry. Jack's first death especially, but also Darren's, and Quinn's reactions to it. All was very well written, and quite in character. And very, very sad.

I am looking forward to your next story, to seeing what happens next with Sky and Syd. Well done.

I wonder why Sky was arrested, did it have something to do within SPD:Y2 or Syd's kidnapping? and who would want to take Sydney Drew?

A rather sad chapter, and it brought about a rush of feelings as the story unfolded, from Omallix's departure, to the tension during the Cartiron battle, followed by a change of pace after the shields were up and finally the sorrow from the parting of Darren and Jack. It's still meeting expectations, which, for me, is quite high. A job well done for the opening chapters.

The scene between Z and Piggy was perhaps what tied the whole chapter together. It was a pretty brief exchange, but with its inclusion, the whole chapter suddenly just clicked... It wouldn't have turned out so right without that scene.

And lastly, errors. A slight formatting issue that had one of the paragraphs cut off and placed in a new line. Nothing big. Next, above the two-minute warning for Cartiron's wall-of-fire, you wrote that the Red and Green Rangers were blasting at Cartiron, but it's the Red and Blue Rangers. Third and last mistake that I spotted: In the closing scene, Z pulled out a '(small) vile' when it should be a small 'vial'. Not very significant, but the story would be perfect with less of such errors.

Nonetheless, I still think this is a great story. I'll catch up with the rest of the story another time.

It may seem a little late for me to give a review for this completed story, but I felt that the number of reviews you have doesn't do much justice to the fic.

The prologue opened well, and that letter really put Z in character. The opening scene is also very well-developed. The length of each chapter, if sustained in this manner, gives a clue to how well thought-out the whole story can be. Of course, that would be for another reading.

Right... back to the opening scene. Peltor's character, and his motley collection of companions drew me into the story completely. For a moment, I thought it would be about him obtaining the Shadow Saber, following Broodwing and so on, but the surprise 'twist', which seems (paradoxically) predictable, but still so unpredictable in this case... Yes, this IS simply Power Rangers SPD.

The language is something I can identify with. It's not overly flowery, and rarely did I have to re-read any line to get the meaning. This is proof that one does not need excessive vocabulary and elaborate description to pull a reader into the story. I'm truly impressed.

On the flip side, I noticed a couple of occasions where commas were used in excess. It's pretty ambiguous, but does not hinder the overall readibility of the story. Errors are rare; I only spotted one 'it's' in place of an 'its' (the part about 'its glorified heroes' near the end) throughout the whole chapter.

One-in-a-million chance that brought me to this fandom, and even rarer to spot one that is of such caliber. I'm beginning to be hooked onto the story.

Will Syd and Sky get back together? and will she stay gone? if so who will replace her? atleast Sky and Quinn are getting along.
