Certainly out of the ordinary, to say the least. Particularly refreshing considering other Reno-centric fiction. Appealing style, beautiful wording, and wonderfully developed metaphors. I wouldn’t be able to criticize this piece even if I wanted to, however. It’s your interpretation, and as much as I don’t agree on some parts I can’t help but love the intensity. My particular favorite was the a cappella bit, carefully considered and spectacularly matching.

oh my goodness...how deep and dark is that? And how you criss-crossed and multi-layered it...I didn't know if I was reading one story, or several...very strange to read... unusual strange, refreshinly strange...
And, I don't know why, but I loved this part that you wrote...'The wind sighed and ruffled his hair, the mocking tones of paternal love. Soft yet simultaneously harsh'.
Thought provoking!
