The last line just made me want to cry - really powerful writing. I also liked Norrington's awareness of the state he was in, it was so sad. Excellent fic. :)

Oh wow... this is so sad, I was almost crying at the end. Yes, I admit it, tears did well up in my eyes. *sniff* this was beautifully written and just so, so magnificent.

I was thinking this during a lot of the movie when Norrington revealed what happened to him, and this mirrors my thoughts of poor Norrie almost exactly. Bravo! And the romance in this was wonderfully done, I admit to not liking very much slash, indeed, Norrington/Gillette is one of the few, if the only one that, I read, but this went straight to the top of my list. Excellent!

Strange thing is, I had my own Gillette and Norrignton deathfic planned, to take place when they passed through the typhoon. Nonslash but still... great minds think alike, hey! ;)
