1eclecticreader 2009-09-03 . chapter 10I'm astounded. Wow! This story is so exceptionally written, it's a little difficult to find words to do it justice.
The characterization alone is outstanding. Add to that development and the story comes alive. The plot is engaging and holds up all throughout the whole. But what I love most are the little things - Lois' journey from activist to journalist, Clark's true self unfurling, the Kents' in the twilight of their lives. These lift the story to heights unparalleled. It's brilliant!
Thank you for sharing such an amzing story with us. I love every word of it. |
MakeLoveNotSense 2009-08-28 . chapter 10This was... there aren't even words for it. It was terrifying and heartbreaking and witty and just utterly *brilliant* from start to finish. I believe that the sign of a good story is when it makes me think about how the messages relate to my own life, and this did just that. Thank you for sharing this. |

Imbecamiel 2008-11-19 . chapter 10Oh. Oh, wow. This was... absolutely incredible. I may be a relatively new fan, but seriously - this has got to be the most perfect Superman fic I've read. Not only the plot, but all the small details, and the characterization, and development, and to top it all off, absolutely wonderful writing.
Only problem being, now I'm just ravenous for more this good, but have no idea where to look. Please, please tell me you're going to write a sequel!
Loved this. Definitely going on my list of stories-to-be-frequently-re-read.

Verity Kindle 2008-03-30 . chapter 2"But at least he would never again pretend otherwise. He would never again play the victim with his self-pitying, if-only, romantic fantasies. Because any time he did, he would be back in the Shadyside Diner, watching her with a gun at her temple while he stood there, with all the power and the glory of the blood of Krypton and the sun of Earth in his veins, and did nothing."
Whoa. That's some killer writing. Keep it up. =) |
Sakura Scout 2008-01-25 . chapter 10This is such a breathtaking piece. How you incorporate Lucy's comment about sheep, wolves, and other folds throughout the story is wonderful. I want to say more, so much more, but my mind is still reeling over everything I have just read.
Thank you so much for sharing this story. ^-^ |
