Egh! So sad! I was looking through my sister's favourites and found this little beauty. Terribly sad, but you wrote it so well! Love the last line, a nice touch to it. Great work!

Roses have thorns. Of course they do.
You wouldn't feel them if they didn't.
Now we're missing a rose on Doctor Who
The new series has now yet to begin
Leaving the poor old Doctor wandering
All alone, all on his own
Without someone to call home.

I've had ideas about that sort of story myself .. however your version is better than mine.

Aww...with the roses? And the thorns? I can't believe it, I haven't even freakin' SEEN the episode yet and I'm already in recovery over it! Yeesh. That's what fanfiction does though...it's clensing for the soul...

Fantastic story, though.

Ack. Ack. Ack. Ack.

Not much more I can say, but hell. There is some seriously awesome stuff in this. The most skilled thing about drabbles is how a writer can compact as much information, description and meaning into a small amount of words. And you've done just that. Not sure if it was intentional, but the slight comments about the Doctor have been crafted so they display...I dunno. Just what he would be feeling then. It's sad, and depressing, but it also has a sense of resignation to it, like he's just accepted it. But those memories will always haunt him. Rawr. And the ending was just bloody sad. Anywho, awesome drabble, and...yeah. Damn the roses.

Gosh, this was sad. Not heartwrenching. But just kind of, brings you back into dwelling on it, sad.

:(

Loved it. It was sweet. And I liked the idea of him making his own garden in the TARDIS.

Katty.

*blushes* Aww shucks, awesome? Me? Why thank you my dear. And let me return it. This really is a very thoughtful drabble and I'm glad you went for the dramatic last line effect because it does read better. This line 'It was, he considered, very good progress.' seems very 10th, made me smile a little. Nice work m'dear.
