Sequel? Loved it.

Powerful.

I first read "To Begin" years ago, when I was fresh-faced to the Startrek world and all its wonder, to McCoy and Spock's squabbles, and it's pleasant to find that none of the heart-tugging resonance is gone. Oh, there were in both this little coda and the two first parts the occasional grammar issue, some odd sentence choices.

In general, however, I'd compliment your gift for dialogue (natural-sounding) and your ability to pick to the marrow of an emotional situation (shiver-inducing) and just the plain-Jane reality in what you put to words.

But to be more specific, I'd say there are few stories on this website that have affected me at all viscerally, that tugged somewhere deep or real or sad, and this one did it.

For that reason alone, if you can-and I know that sometimes one simply can not-but if you can, do finish this sequence. I'm so curious to see where it goes to.

yes, the second time isn't easier. It damn near kills you. How does Spock survive? Did you recover Part 3 from you old hard drive?

Any chance for more? This isn't an ending, is it? Doesn't Spock figure a way back to his former self, at least? I bet you can't let this go either! You already knew the ending before Sarek showed up to collect Spock, didn't you? You tease!

Thanks for all your great writing. I don't understand why you don't have hundreds of reviews. Guess we, your fans, are more discriminating than most. Other stories I was happy with before reading yours, now leaves me hollow and I find, even with additional chapters leading to a conclusion, just don't interest me anymore. So, I've dropped them. You take such a serious, biographical approach, rendering Star Trek real (as it is for me anyway). You feed my need.

Love your work and I'm nearly out of stories to read. It's quite nearly like the day after Christmas!

So very sad. I wish you'd given McCoy a happier ending. I have a friend who lost his kids through divorce, and he never got over the pain. Well, perhaps you'll eventually make it all come out right. Cheers.

This series of stories is the ultimate in S & Mc H/C. So beautifully poignant. I'm pulling for a reunion between the two of them. Please, keep this story coming!

Oh egads. Egads, dollface. I realize that the chances of you finishing up this story are slim-seeing as you published this on 07 and the second part in 05, four damned years ago. My initial disapointment aside, you did one hell of a job. Held my blasted attention for hours and hours, and kept my emotions in a vice grip.

Poor McCoy and little Spock.

Ok, I'm adding to the cry. Se-quel! Se-quel! Se-quel! Se-quel! Se-quel! Se-quel! Please? We are all so worried about Spock! You MUST tell us what happens to him, the poor little dear logical Vulcan...

Oh and finish all your other unfinished stories too. I've read nearly everything on here (yes, without reviewing...) and am on track to finishing the rest within a couple of weeks. And I can't stand unfinished stories, especially ones as good as you write!
