Yesterday when I read this fic, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. There were no apparent errors with the grammar and spelling in the fic, so that obviously was pleasing but something about it didn't immediately capture me.
However, towards the end of yesterday, I was re-thinking my first impression of this fic. The last line is simple, yet it gives off (to me at least) a really powerful message. I think we could all use the line "Don't forget to breathe." once in a while and the way it fit in with your story was pretty brilliant, I must say.
I don't usually read a fic, kind of like it, and then really like it the next day but I don't know; yours has just grown on me and the last line is absolutely unforgettable. Personally, I think you've written one of the best endings I've read in a long time; then again, it may just be because I really like these simple and powerful one-liner endings that tie all the loose ends as well as leave an important message that is open to interpretation.
So, now I guess you know how I feel about this fic. I thought it was ok at first, but it's really grown on me and it's definitely going on my favourite's list.

Fantastic! I love how you approached Rin's death in such a different angle than I ever would have been able to. However, some parts are a little...forced. A true medic would never let someone sacrifice their life to save a person who is dying. They'd be stubborn and adament that Rin get over it and move on with her own life. Unless there was some alterior motive there, perhaps they hated Rin? Or they needed Kakashi? Was he a necessity, and Rin disposable? I'm afraid I'm a person with an unfortunately twisted way of thinking, and I can't simply lay down and believe that doctors would let someone make their own choice on a medical matter.
