At the risk of sounding trite, this fic is nigh on perfect. In fact, the only flaw I can point out -- and it's rather trivial -- is a misspelling of emphasise (the 'e' is absent). In all, a wonderful read. It's great to see more talented authors like yourself stepping into this fandom. ^_^

So it's only been recently that I've even perked up in vague interest at the Metal Gear fandom (and typically it was a slash epic that hauled me in by the nose) but of course, I've been heart-ing at Ocelot's character designe for ages before that. I'm glad that I've begun browsing through the fics in this section, though, and familiarizing myself with some of the canon, because ... it lets me discover and read awesome things like this. :D

Argh. I love that line.

This fic makes me wibble dangerously hard. The idea of Ocelot growing up surrounded by uncles and weapons and a I'm so incoherent over this fic, wtf. D: But I love it. I really mean that. It makes my heart flutter so terribly, and I wish I knew why. XD I love how you drew such a lovely portrait of Ocelot's childhood. And his parents kissing him goodbye? MY HEART, AUGH.
