This is so cute. I'm definatly sending it to my sister. she likes poetry. even though not all of the verses rihmed it was still good. a lil sappy for my but still!

Great! The verse about the Word-of-the-Day calendar, and the lines ‘ I couldn’t make him love me/ simply by trying to/ improve my vocabulary’ were genius! Hehehe.
This bit was so cute:

‘I said I didn’t love you,
but that was a lie.
I can’t live without you,
and I don’t want to try.’

This verse was hilarious:
‘Now, some might want to know
how it came to be
that I was drunk and yet
could speak rationally.’

One wee typo: ‘At the end of the year/ a part was thrown’ (I think you meant ‘party’.

The last three lines were lovely! They made me all squishy and made me go aw!!

It made me laugh and cry and smile, it's everything a good poem should be.
