Is this your first fan fiction? If it is, I'm extremely impressed. Even if it isn't, I'm still impressed. While "New Star of the Shikon" is not the best writing on it surpasses some of the other stories that litter the site.

There is, however, one thing that I would like to point out: you said that Kagome was 12 (the "euphoria" part). That seems very odd, seeing as she's supposed to fall in love with Sesshoumaru. 12-year-olds might "go out" with people, but in general, they never fall in love. Unless you plan on having Kagome suddenly turning several years older, there are going to problems with this fan fiction.

Overall, your plot is much better than the usual. In fact, I've never read anything remotely resembling this plot, and I've been reading fanfiction for four years (this is not my first account). Update soon for your audience! :)
