Beautifuly done - so believable. I'm glad you didn't have Vash come right out and say he loves Meryl, because, judging from the television series, I don't believe he really knows that or even if he does. *crosses fingers* Well, I hope it's the former.

Vash and Meryl are very well in character. Their subtle actions are complimentary and smooth. I don't know if I'm making any sense - I guess it all adds up to this: it could have been a long lost episode. ;)

You wrote this so fluently that it sounded as though it really should have been in the episode, and I'm kind of disappointed that it wasn't... *sigh* But I can't have it all, now, can I? :P

Anyway, love it, love it, love it! I love Vash/Meryl! (and my friend is going to kill me for saying that, but oh well! ;; ) The last line was GREAT, it made me say a quiet little "Aw!" - I think I"m going to soon read more of your Trigun stuff!

I've missed your writing. :)

You tapped into a depth I never thought Meryl to have. The first person perspective felt totally natural, as did her feelings for Vash. That scene in the anime made my eyes sting, and my chest hurt...and rereading it here had the same effect.

I know I wanted to go back in there and hug him! *dies* poor guy! But you wrote her in-the-moment panic very believably. Crap. This is making me want to work on chapter 2 of that Trigun fic... yup. That's what I'm gonna go do. Right now.
