magic 6/4/01 . chapter 1
Nice! Very nice! Very good, in fact. Touching. A little confusing but Evangelion IS confusing. Always is and always will. You really caught the feel of Evangelion and what it's trying to teach! Congrats! I only know so little number of people who knows the ins and outs of the confusing scenes in Eva! Good one! Continue writing like this and maybe you'll get published sometime. (But that's only my cousins, friend (Ice), and my opinion.)
Quincy007 6/4/01 . chapter 1
That was deep. I liked it, and it made for some interesting thinking. Excellent work.
The Daydreamer 6/4/01 . chapter 1
Really good, it should've been put in the series!
H. Guderian 6/4/01 . chapter 1
So deep. Is it just me or there's a lot of philosophical existencialism in this? The fact that you expose both the tendencies of 'existence' is a clear indication of what the fic is about. "We are as we are perceived by others." and "We excist for what we are" clearly show how deeply rooted in philosophy this is. Also you explore a religious enigma: "There is no return from the path of death." Does it mean that there is no resurrection? I think that the quote at the begining is from Socrates, not Pitagoras. (I hope it's Socrates, because I've always considered Kaoru's death to like that of Socrates himself.) You also use religious simbolism; when you say that "On top of the red cross where the four letters: HVHY. Obviously this is in reference to the Tetragrammaton, (Ya-Ha-Ya-Ye.) tha's the hebrew letters for the name of God. The connection betwen Rei and Lilith is also obvious. You also make Kaoru more human. (He envies Humanity) Which is not only a capital sin (Envy) but also a refrection of the Human soul. Is it posible that Angels cam have human souls? If they are created from the same design (the Sephirotic System) then it might be posible.

All in all, it's a bit confusing if you don't know philosophy, but if you do know some, it's tremendously interesting.
Caiman 6/4/01 . chapter 1
