Really loved this fanfiction, I'm a big Lizzie and Jack fan so its gotta be a good fic for me to read a Will POV which this most certaintly is! Also very good characterisation of Elizabeth. Can't wait to read the Jack POV fic.

Great story. I especially liked the last line- that's how I think Will and Elizabeth are going to end. Sort of sad and defeated...

Loved, loved, *loved* this. Your portrayal of Elizabeth is, I believe, spot-on with what was driving the character in the movie--the desire for freedom, for the sea, for the life of a pirate. And Will! I like that while you captured the sense of goodness, that moral center of the story that is Will Turner, you also added an undercurrent of self-pity, anger, and resentment that was simmering at the end of DMC. Excellent characterization. I'm adding this to my favs.

I could pontificate at length about how much I like this, but I think I'll keep it short and sweet. :] First, I'm glad that you've chosen to write more Pirates fiction, since you've got a lovely way of capturing the characters. That's what I enjoyed most about Angels, and you haven't lost it here.

Second, you've made me feel sympathetic for Will, a character that I, uh, actually don't like all that much (though that may be because he's played by Bloom or something). To me, that's pretty impressive, since my prejudices run few and far between, but when they're there, they're STRONG prejudices, and it's difficult for me to get over them. So thanks, for writing something that let me see Will from a different perspective.

Finally, I'm really pleased with how you handled Will's reaction to everything. I've read other post-DMC Will's POV fics, but I don't think I've seen any that portray the inherent /difference/ in Elizabeth as well as yours--rather than fixate on Will's sense of betrayal you show how everyone around him, particularly Elizabeth, changes.

Anamaria's entrance was a pleasant surprise, but I think the best line in all of it is this: "When you finally kiss her it's Jack you taste."

That was beautiful. I like how it's Will watching Elizabeth become more and more used to pirate life, and how he thinks all of these things but never really speaks them. I hope you do some more writing like this :D
