Usually, I can't follow first person stories, I find myself confused and end up giving up partway through (I'm hopeless when it comes to getting things done, I know). But this is wonderful, and I love how, at the end, Mac too her to a hotel - it's just something Mac would do - as much as I love Mac and Stella, I can't see her wanting to spend the night with anyone, even if she - or indeed he, as I suspect he would insist upon - were on the sofa. Anyway, I've rambled enough. I'll leave now.
