I'm kind of sad that most of the new stories that have sprung up from DMC are like, "Oh, she's definitely with Jack now" or "No, she has no feelings for Jack--she was just using him to save Will." (More of the former than the latter, it seems.) I really like that you captured some of the complexity of Elizabeth's feelings, and I liked your thoughts on why Elizabeth would be attracted to Jack. And I agree, I can see no immediate happy ending for Elizabeth and Will (and so I'm intrigued to see what they'll do with the third movie). Kudos on the ending--it seemed very true to the current situation. |

If you had left out, like, the last two paragraph things, I would have loved it much more, but it was so sad! I've got a song-fic that's Will/Liz, and it does have a sort of happy ending, if you want to check it out. Anyways, it was good. |
