Great job on this! I love seeing Splinter's POV. His thoughts always seem very even and observing... I really like this story!

I dunno...it feels like it's dragging on too long. Yeah, yay for recovery and all that, but what's happening with LH and D? What are they going to do to find them? Is that old guy ever going to return home? Why isn't there a search going on for the other remaining turtles? Instead of being prepared and on alert, they're...frolicking. I feel like it's getting way too corny with all this bonding and everything, like they're not seriously concerned with what's happening. Eh. Then I thought I or Splinter was tripping with the arrival of the creatures... huh, maybe they stumbled upon clues? Or the grounds of the super secret mutating center? Well, hope to read more to have it all straightened out!

A calm, reflective Red who is busier with thinking than with getting angry...is the poison still in his system?? I liked this chapter, lots of interaction, and we get to learn Red's opinion on a whole lot of things. Things are good while in a bad situation. The "vertically floating stem" has me just as confused as Red though, what was that? I thought of a straw, but who drinks hot tea in a cup through a straw...?

Oh, loved this Leo point of view chapter! Very well written, and it's so typically Leo, it was a very nice read. He's still suffering, still angry, but the happy Leo is lurking in there somewhere. And the background happenings between Red and Mikey were just adorable ^_^ I wonder how drugged Red really is though, I'm kinda hoping it's out of his system already and his behavior was genuine. Him bonding with Mikey woud be just the thing for him right now while worrying about Dee and Leatherhead. We'll see what happens next.

Aw, a somewhat more lighthearted chapter (if it weren't for Leo. But hey, it's LEO). And I can't help but wonder about Red's POV in all of this; of course, not right now since he's little loopy...which is too bad, as he and Leo almost had some "quality time" to talk things out up there. But alas, Leo is still a drama king. XD

This fic is really fantastic! Im not normally one who likes AU fics but this is definatly the exception. I love how youve managed to keep the characters just right and its so believable how they behave.

First of all: My sincere apologies! I've been following this fic for a while and kept meaning to review it to let you know that I was reading and enjoying it and that it's interesting and nicely done... and I kept forgetting. I'm really sorry about that! T_T

That said, I'm loving this! You are one of the better writers in the fandom and I love seeing your updates. :) This concept was such an interesting one, and I love all the twists and turns and unique takes on the characters you've been working in. Few do family!fluff as great as you do.

It was really interesting to see Splinter's POV in this chapter. It's pretty sad to think that he had lost half his sons for so many years... Although, I feel even sadder for Raph. The poor turtle really seems to be close to Don. I can only imagine how hard it will be for him to be away from his brother...

Another masterfully done chapter! Oh, poor Mikey and poor Leo... Poor Red, for that matter! So much self-blame to go around. It's nice to know that Dee isn't really as bad off as everyone thinks, but its sad watching everyone else...
