This made me want to give Owen a hug.

So much of his father indeed. One of the few Owen fics out there, I like it. It does make you understand why he was so resistant to letting Luke go.

I like the part when Owen speaks of Anakin's darkness like a coiled serpent.

I know this is so late but what a great way of portraying Owen's feeling's about Luke. Of course it is not til you see the whole thing that you know why Owen is so scared to let Luke go, but yes I can see those exact thoughts running through his mind.

This is fascinating insight into Owen's character. Wonderful representation, and job well done.
