lol, you aren't alone. You made ME cry, and I don't cry easily in fanfics! Props to you for conveying Sirius' anguish and the emotions in such a striking and stylistic fashion. I think part of the reason is your style of writing - "the hands that had gesticulated widly, the hands that could catch the Snitch even when Sirius had tried to distract him by throwing bread crumbs, lay half-opened on the ground..." The sentences are long and delicate, and because you incorporate a lot of information and detail, you draw readers in and introduce them to an intimate side of Sirius. Emotions are inevitably stirred.
You successfully accomplished what you set out to do. The fic is delightfully heartwrenching, delicately passionate and emotional (forgive the oxymorons, lol). Loved it!
