Your characterisation of Kara was very good - that's just her, getting angry, wanting to flee from a difficult situation. She's not a quiter when it comes to physical fight, but she sure does have trouble when it comes to relationships, doesn't she? Her offering to talk may not be that in-character, but you made it look possible.

Fluffy ending? Perhaps, but somehow - I don't mind.

Virtual chocolate chip cookies? Nay, I'd rather have a back-review ;) You know, I also wrote a "missing scene" (and a continuation, actually) after RS2, and I'm a lausy sucker right now, but who cares.

Oh, an keep writing, I don't know your "first" story, but after this one - I say you write very well.

of course if that happened on the show, Ron Moore and David Eick would have spontaneously combusted. It would behoove them to give us a happy ending like that.

I really get the impression that they both feel that way about each other yet they keep pushing themselves apart.

I really liked this. I always wanted to know what happened after the end of that scene.
I think you got Kara's character very well - particularly the way she uses anger to cover her emotions and the difficulty she has expressing them to the point that at the end of that little scene she can't even get out the words 'I need you' - even when he's suicidal! That's very Kara.
I also liked some of the images you used - in particular 'She took a breath - ammunition.' and 'Her heart splintered, the shards impaling her lungs' - I thought they really got the emotion and the mood across.
Don't apologize for the happy ending - I'm a sucker for them myself :-)
I enjoyed this and hope you are encouraged to write more - I'll certainly read them.

All kidding aside, that was lovely. I'm sure there must have been more to that scene and you wrote a really nice ending. Yes the end was fluffy but considering where season 2 ultimately ended up, you can be forgiven for that. :) Just kidding. I liked the middle part about Kara getting angry - I think that's definitely her style. Can't admit the weakness, instead she lashes out in anger. I've love to see her vulnerable and needing help like that.
