Hi, its true this pairing is very unexpected since there is almost nothing in the game to suggest it but I think it started because of one sentence Vincent say when all the group is at the Gold Saucer. From what I remenber , It goes like this, at the edn of Cloud speech, when everyone leaves, Vincent say " Cid, lets go back to our room" But Cid is sleeping. That's all but I guess It's all it takes for the fandom. ^^ Personnaly, I likes this pairing too.

Aww…it’s so sweet! Your writing was pretty good, though there were awkward sentences but nothing the reader wouldn’t fix in their head right away. I like the setting, nice rainy day to spew emotions like that. It would be nice if you actually added to it, and made it a real plot, not that it didn't have one already, but it was just too short. Cid/Vincent is just too cute!
