There are those who say that there should be no fiction about the Holocaust but I think that it's the best way to bring the reality of it home. Remembering the individuals is so much worse than the statistics in history books and you made me feel for both the real girl and the fictional boy. |

You bring tears to my eyes. Poor Erik. Poor Anne, when I think of her. I mean, she died just a month or so before the deathcamps was broken. *sniff* I think it was about a month. I haven't read the book (you know, her diary?), but my best friend has, and we've talked about it in school, and...*sniff* This story is so good. And beautiful. I love it. *sniff* |
