Oh wow...this was an amazing wonderful fic. (I don't want to be able to imagine young!Gonou torturing butterflies...but I can now. ;_;) Even though it's an *evil* cliffie, I still love where you ended this. You really managed to wind down the action and everything even though you didn't resolve everything. I can totes see how it's going to take another whole fic to bring everyone back together again. I love the way you characterize everyone in this - it's spot-on. (Except for poor Hakkai, who definitely has an excuse...!) Thanks so much for writing this.

You're fantastic writing kept me hooked every step of the way (which is not an easy thing to accomplish, i might add).

Your characterizations were flawless and i really felt that you have a very deep understanding of the boys. honestly, i can't find anything bad at all to say about this story except that it just about ripped my heart out to see (read) Hakkai in that condition...but that's still a good thing, that you could appeal to the reader in such a way.

I can promise you right now that i will more than likely never read anything like this again, and i thank you for writing and posting in the first place.

on an interesting side note, i heard the song Reclusion tonight from Anberlin, and upon actually listening to the lyrics, i couldn't help but think that song could be like... the theme song or something to Dysphoria o_o

This is one of the best fics I've read to date, and I love it even more cos it did not contain any smut.

Your depiction of the main characters were spot on & accurate and you kept them in character - I think you would have done Minekura sensei proud.

Totally loved the chapter whereby Sanzo unleashed the karisen on Hoku in front of Kougaiji-ikkou. It was hilarious & so in character.

Well done & I'm definitely gonna stay glued for your updates on the sequel. It has been a great reading pleasure. Kudos!

Awesome story. Overall, I'm very impressed. Aside from you having a talent for writing and great descriptions, you know the series and characters really well. I felt like I was watching an actual Saiyuki series arc! Very well done with the characterizations and their interactions, it all went naturally and smoothly. This is now one of my favorite fanfictions. If you happen to finish the sequel, that too would be awesome!

Wow! Just wow! What a thrill-ride! I'm hoping that you've already completed that sequel, as I'm pretty excited to know what will happen at this point.

My only problem with the whole thing is a pretty minor thing, but it is something to be noted. You should probably increase the fiction rating at least to M if not MA. I began reading this at work and there are more than a few rather disturbing scenes that aren't quite... T rating appropriate.

At any rate, this was a great story, kudos to you for writing it. )

This is truly one of the best fics I've ever read. Hell, one of the best stories. And that ranks it right up there with Sherrilyn Kenyon. I can promise you wholeheartedly that I'll be devouring the sequel.

I loved every bit of this story. You did a freaking awesome job with Hakkai going crazy and keeping the suspense throughout the whole thing. I love how engaging your writing style is; kept me on the edge of my seat til the very end. -grins-

There are just so many things to praise about this chapter. The scene between Sanzo and Goku outside Gojyo's room was perfect. It really showed how much they both care about Gojyo and each other, but without getting too mushy. The scene between Sanzo and Gojyo was equally good. You do such a wonderful job of expanding on their personalities and keeping them in character. Just one thing, I think you might have a tiny plot hole-in chapter 13, Goku leaves Sanzo with someone he thinks is a doctor, but in this chapter, the town doesn't have a doctor. That's really minor, though, and doesn't detract from the fact that this story ranks very high on the list of best Saiyuki fanfiction out there.
