That was amazing. I loved the ending, blunt like Matt's death itself.

Poetic. Very deep. You can really feel how...desperate he was, in the last seconds; the whole thing was flawlessly written. Magnificent job.

Wow, that was good. It was sort of dark, but at the same time it was really charges and almost... huh, something. I'll think of the word as soon as I hit the submit button. Sort of champion-like is the best I can do for now. But really, it was exquisite.

Anyway, on to the actual review:

I love the gritty style present here. It's dramatic, it's poignant, and yet there's an almost tangibly stark realism, if that makes sense.

The last line - "They shoot him down like a dog, and he’s dead before he hits the concrete." - was made of gold. It perfectly exemplifies what I just said - cold facts, incredibly realistic, and yet angst-ridden.

Pretty dark, and I think it shows Matt's personality perfectly.
